Mezcal Sour

This is a nice cool weather cocktail with spiced notes. The @angosturahouse cocoa bitters elevate the cocktail and add complexity.

Ingredients

  • Mezcal 1 1/2 oz
  • Simple Syrup 3/4 oz
  • Fresh Lime Juice 1/2 oz
  • Ginger Syrup 1/2 oz
  • Egg White 1
  • Chocolate Bitters 3 dash

Garnish: Chocolate Bitters

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Add Mezcal, Simple Syrup, Fresh Lime Juice, Ginger Syrup and Egg White to a shaker.

  2. 2.

    Dry shake (no ice) vigorously for about 15–20 seconds to build foam.

  3. 3.

    Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

  4. 4.

    Double strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.

    Garnish with Chocolate Bitters (dashed on the foam).
